Many people take out loans against their upcoming paychecks, but it is also possible to get savings account payday loans. If someone has money stashed away in a savings account, but need the money very quickly, this may be the perfect loan arrangement for them. Even though it is a loan against a savings account, the borrower must still be over 18 and have a reliable income. The borrower also needs to have a current checking account in their own name. Loans are given for amounts normally from $100 to $1500 and are for a period of 14-30 days.
The amount of the loan as well as the finance charges will normally be taken out of the savings account you specify on the agreed upon date. If the borrower is unable to make the payment as agreed, an extra interest payment can be made to postpone the bank withdrawal for 14 more days. Once the money is paid back, the transaction is completed. Since these are special circumstance loans, it is best only to use them on occasion. Getting into a payday advance cycle of obtaining one after another is never good. If the borrower is using a savings account from which to draw the money, it is best to apply only for the amount you need.
Fees and interest rates do vary and can vary significantly. Normally, one can find interest rates for savings account payday loans for about 20%. However, if the terms are not studied carefully, they may end up paying up to 30%. Terms of the loan are most often from 14-30 days, with the most common being two weeks. The savings account payday loans are quick and easy to obtain, but be sure to know the terms and conditions before agreeing to the loan. Bad credit is not an issue when looking for a savings account payday loan. An applicant’s credit score is not checked by the lender.
